La notizia che molti, compreso il sottoscritto, aspettavano, è finalmente giunta!! Direttamente dal blog ufficiale di Mint, è arrivato l’annuncio che il prossimo rilascio dell’immagine di LMDE, previsto per dicembre prossimo (in concomitanza con l’uscita di Mint 10 basata su Ubuntu 10.10) vedrà una versione a 64 bit!!

–> Absolutely. LMDE will 64-bit support, an improved installer, bug fixes and all Mint 10 features this December.

– Can I get the Mint 10 look in LMDE?

–> Yes. It’s there in the Romeo section of the LMDE repositories. You’ll need to install the “mint-x-icons” and “mint-x-theme” packages.

Che dire.. Il progetto LMDE va avanti, e si rafforza, spero che vengano mantenute tutte le (ottime) premesse ed esplodano tutte le potenzialità di questa distro..
